Pitching Tee and Attachment Fixes

Issue 1:  Player is not making consistent throws to target

Fix:  Pitching Tee base unit – The Pitching Tee base unit guides the player’s lead foot and head stay in line to the target, helping them to stay closed and consistently directing the path of the ball to the target.

Fix:  Long Toss Alignment System – The Long Toss Alignment System (consisting of the Pitching Tee base unit and rails) helps the player’s lead foot and head stay in line to the target only for longer throws.  This guides them to stay closed and to consistently direct the path of the ball to the target.

Issue 2:  Player is not striding in alignment to target

Fix:  Pitching Tee base unit – The Pitching Tee’s markers on the base help the player to know where to stride in order to be in alignment with the target.  Repetition allows them to build muscle memory and self-correct when they find themselves out of alignment.

Fix:  Stride & Finish Alignment Bar – The Stride & Finish Alignment Bar creates a physical obstruction that lets the player know when their body is out of line and to adjust their body back into alignment.

Issue 3: Player’s head and shoulder are not staying in alignment to target

Fix:  Pitching Tee base unit – The Pitching Tee base unit’s indicators on the boom guides the player’s eyes to align with the target as they start and finish their throw.  This in turn aligns their head and shoulder, creating more consistency and accuracy.

Issue 4:  Player is using all arm to throw

Fix:  Power Position Bar – The Power Position Bar shows the player how to properly load the lower half of their body so their legs can be utilized in the throw.

Issue 5:  Player is falling toward the target (i.e. upper body is leading)

Fix:  Hip Lead & Drive Bar – The Hip Lead & Drive Bar guides the player to lead with their hips, keeping their upper body back.   As the player strides forward with their hips, the bar will  be pushed forward indicating they are leading with their hips and not their upper body.

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar guides the player to pass their front knee under the bar before starting to plate.

Issue 6:  Player is not driving toward the target

Fix:  Hip Lead and Drive Bar – The Hip Lead & Drive Bar guides the player to drive their hips forward as they stride toward the target.  The harder they push the bar forward with their hips, the more power that is generated.

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar helps prevent the player’s lead foot and leg from swinging outward.  This directs their lower half to stay over their back leg to create more drive toward the target.

Issue 7:  Player is not breaking hands early enough (i.e. on time)

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar teaches the player that their hands must break before they start moving forward with their body.

Fix:  Knee Lift Position Bar – The Knee Lift Position Bar indicates to the player that the hands will start to break when the knee touches the indicator.

Issue 8:  Player’s leg lift is swinging open toward home too early (i.e. opening up)

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar helps prevent the player’s lead foot and leg from swinging outward, helping them to stay inline and closed.

Issue 9:  Player is falling off after release

Fix:  Stride & Finish Alignment Bar – The Stride & Finish Alignment Bar creates a visual and physical indicator that lets the player know when their stride is out of alignment, allowing them to adjust their stride to stay inside the indicator.

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar forces the player to control their leg lift and create better balance before delivering to the plate.

Issue 10:  Player is pulling head off line

Fix:  Pitching Tee base unit – The Pitching Tee base unit’s indicators on the boom help the player’s eyes to align with the target as they start and finish their throw.  This in turn keeps their head and shoulder inline, creating more consistency and accuracy.

Fix:  Stride & Finish Alignment Bar – The Stride & Finish Bar directs the player to move to their target along the bar which helps keep their head over their foot and their body in line.

Issue 11:  Player is not keeping glove up

Fix:  Stride & Finish Alignment Bar – The Stride & Finish Bar creates a physical physical obstruction forcing the player to finish with their glove above the bar.

Fix:  Arm Path Follow Through Bar – The Arm Path Follow Through Bar provides a visual indicator of where the player’s arm should be (passing under the alignment bar) on the follow through finish.

Issue 12:  Player is not getting proper load on back hip

Fix:  Power Position Bar – They Power Position Bar indicates to the player how far to drop his backside in order to get the proper load on their back hip to generate optimal power in their delivery.

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar forces the player to keep their hips back to get the proper hip load from their back hip.

Issue 13:  Player has inconsistent knee load (too high or too low) collapsing backside

Fix:   Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar helps the player to repeat a consistent knee lift which allows for proper timing and hand break.

Issue 14:  Player’s weight is moving forward before loading the backside

Fix:  Hip Lead and Drive Bar – The Hip Lead & Drive Bar movement before the load shows players if their weight is moving forward early and reminds the player to lead with their hips, keeping their upper body back.

Fix:  Power Position Bar – They Power Position Bar indicates to the player how far to drop his backside helping them to keep their weight back before they get the proper load on their back hip.

Issue 15:  Player is slinging their arm across body (i.e. Slingers)

Fix:  Arm Path Follow Through Bar – The Arm Path Follow Through Bar provides a visual indicator of where the player’s arm should be (passing under the alignment bar) helping prevent slinging their arm across their body.

Issue 16:  Player has improper arm angle/path or side arm throws

Fix:  Arm Path Follow Through Bar – The Arm Path Follow Through Bar provides a visual indicator of where the player’s arm should be (passing under the alignment bar) and the angle needed for the proper follow through to prevent side arm and wrong angle/path throws.

Fix:  Arm Swing Alignment Bar – The Arm Swing Alignment Bar marks a visual pathway with a physical obstruction of the backwards extension of the throwing arm path.  This helps the player to keep the correct arm angle and path as they throw the ball.

Issue 17:  Player’s arm drops down and back behind body (causes shoulders to turn away from the target)

Fix:  Arm Swing Alignment Bar – The Arm Swing Alignment Bar marks a visual pathway with a physical obstruction of the backwards extension of the throwing arm path.  This helps the player to keep their pitching/throwing arm in a straight line preventing their arm from dropping down and behind their body.

Issue 18:  Player short arm throws

Fix:  Arm Swing Alignment Bar – The Arm Swing Alignment Bar helps the player use their full arm motion by marking a visual pathway with a physical obstruction of the backwards extension of the throwing arm path.  This guides their throwing arm to extend directly back toward the boom marker correcting short arm throws.

Issue 19:  Player is not getting enough drive from their lower half

Fix:  Backside Drive Bar – The Backside Drive Bar signals how high the player’s back leg should swing over the boom. The proper leg swing height creates more drive and momentum allowing for more velocity and power.

Issue 20:  Player has trouble getting into a full layout position

Fix:  Backside Drive Bar – The Backside Drive Bar signals how high the player’s back leg should swing over the boom. The proper leg swing height allows the player to get into a full layout position.

Issue 21:  Player is opening front hip

Fix:  Hip Lead and Drive Bar – The Hip Lead & Drive Bar indicator guides players to use their lead hip as they drive hard forward, pushing the indicator away and creating maximum momentum toward the target.  In order to “push” the indicator around as they stride, they need to keep constant contact with the lead hip which helps keep the player from opening their hips.

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar guides the player keep their front knee inside the bar allowing them to keep their hips closed longer through their motion.

Issue 22:  Player’s shoulders are moving towards target before their lower half (i.e. they are not staying back with upper body)

Fix:  Hip Lead and Drive Bar – The Hip Lead & Drive Bar reminds the player to lead with their hips, keeping their shoulders back.   As the player strides forward, they push the bar forward with their hips, indicating they are leading with their hips and not their shoulder.

Issue 23:  Player has inconsistent knee lift height

Fix:  Knee Lift Position Bar – The Knee Lift Position Bar indicates to the player the proper height of his knee lift.  Using it consistently will help them with muscle memory of the correct and consistent height leading to better timing, balance and increased the velocity.

Issue 24:  Player has inconsistent timing for full leg kick/modified leg kick/slide step (causes them to fall off balance at top of knee lift)

Fix:  Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar – The Knee Lift & Pass Under Bar indicates to the player the proper height of his knee lift, which will help with timing issues and keep them on balance at the top of the knee lift.
